You’ve just finished off a fabulous dinner party — appetizers, dinner, desserts, but the night’s not over yet. Treat your guests to a coffee cocktail to cap off an epic dinner party and leave people talking.
Whenever Tim, the husband, and I are out we like to extend the evening as long as possible — it’s not too often we’re alone, you know. To make the night just a tad longer and to cap off our tastebuds, a coffee with a splash of something special seems to end the night on a high note. Our favorite end-of-the-night drink on a date is a cup of quality coffee with a hit of a cognac based orange liqueur. Recently, we created our own night cap for a dinner party we had and it seemed like the perfect ending to a great night. A beautiful blend of dark roast coffee with a splash of whisky, Demerara sugar, orange bitters, and a fragrant orange peel studded with cloves. We called it the Orange Stud (we’re so creative) and it was amazing.
It’s as simple as combining sugar, whisky, orange bitters, and an rolled orange peel studded with cloves in a mug. Next, top this tempting mixture with coffee and in moments you have yourself an aromatic and very delicious coffee cocktail.
But why not take it a step further? There are so many great coffee cocktails out there, I can’t think of a better way to end the night with a DIY coffee bar. It’s a simple set up that leaves you with little prep so you can spend the night with your guests. All you need is a counter space, a a selection of cocktail recipes, ingredients laid out, and of course, quality coffee. A Keurig makes for the optimal setup as guests can choose the style of coffee they like and make a drink at their leisure. For our coffee bar, we used Lavazza coffee, a premium coffee from Italy. We’ve been drinking Lavazza for months now and I have to say, I’m impressed by the character of all of the selections. From dark roast to medium roast, you can now find your favorite Lavazza coffee in K-Cup form! The Lavazza K-Cup Packs come in your choice of: Perfetto, Gran Aroma, Classico or Gran Selezione and be found at shoplavazza.com.
We’ve teamed up with Lavazza once again to bring you an amazing giveaway so you too can experience the greatness of Lavazza K-Cups and maybe even set up your own coffee station! 1 Keurig – K10 Mini Plus Personal Brewer and an assortment of Lavazza K-Cup Packs (ERV $150) will go to one lucky winner!
